Saulėtą š. m. spalio 20 dienos popietę, kaip įprasta, po kiekvieno mėnesio trečiojo sekmadienio Saint Ann of the Dunes bažnyčioje kunigo Gedimino Keršio aukotų šv. Mišių, Amerikos lietuvių Beverly Shores, Indiana, klubo pirmininkas Marius Kasniūnas visus, susirinkusius bažnyčioje, pakvietė į metinį ataskaitinį susirinkimą, kurio metu buvo pristatyta finansinė klubo ataskaita, susirinkusieji supažindinti su valdybos nuveiktais darbais, planuojami ateinančių metų renginiai bei sprendžiami klubui aktualūs klausimai.
Susirinkimui prasidėjus visus, jaukiai susibūrusius Beverly Shores miestelio bendruomenės namuose, pasveikino pirmininkas Marius Kasniūnas, metų finansinę ataskaitą pristatė iždininkė Karoline Stiglich, susirinkimą protokolavo sekretorė Indrė Biskis. „Amerikos lietuvių Beverly Shores klubas sparčiai plečiasi, veikla sėkmingai vykdoma, o į mūsų organizuojamus renginius atvyksta svečių iš įvairių JAV valstijų, net iš Lietuvos“, – pabrėžė M. Kasniūnas.
Klubo pirmininkas, susirinkimo metu keldamas čia gyvenantiems lietuviams aktualius klusimus, pateikė siūlymą dėl naujo paminklinio akmens, įamžinančio „Lituanica“ skrydį, projekto, kuris, po trumpų diskusijų, buvo vienbalsiai priimtas. O klubo valdyba, supažindinusi su praėjusių metų veikla, susirinkusiesiems priminė vykusius renginius. Tai – Vasario 16-osios ir kovo 11-osios minėjimai, Joninės, Vasaros festivalis, Gegužinė, Rudens pokylis.
Į vienu įsimintiniausių klubo narių pripažintą renginį, rugpjūčio mėnesį „Lituanica“ parke vykusį kasmetinį, jau tradicija tapusį, Gegužinės pikniką, buvo susirinkę per 80 svečių ir dalyvių. Mėgaudamiesi tradiciniais, Irmos Ruzgienės gamintais, lietuviškais patiekalais svečiai klausėsi akardionisto Dariaus Udrio ir Jolantos Ignatovos dainų, balsavo už skaniausiai klubo narių ruoštų šaltibarščių receptą bei dalyvavo organizatorių rengtoje loterijoje.
Nepamirštamos Beverly Shores lietuviams šiemet buvo ir birželio 22 d., jau antrus metus iš eilės, „Lituanica“ parke švęstos Joninės, į kurias atvyko per 150 svečių ne tik iš įvairių JAV valstijų, bet ir iš Lietuvos bei Ispanijos. Šventės svečiai pynė neatsiejamą Joninių atributą – lauko gėlių vainiką, dainavo prie liepsnojančio laužo bei vaišinosi tradiciniais Bravo Bitės gamintais patiekalais ir lietuvišku alumi. Šventei pasiekus kulminaciją buvo sveikinami Jonai, Janinos ir Rasos.
Vakaro programą parengė ir renginį vedė Indrė Biskis. Muzika pasirūpino Marius Kasniūnas, aparatūra – Jonas Nekus. Dailininkė Rasa Sutkus sukūrė nuostabias iškabas, šventės svečius pasitiko ir bilietais prekiavo Rūta Sula ir Karolina Stiglich, stalus serviravo Diana Johns, Loretta Kasparas, Indrė Thomas ir Rūta Sidabras. Meninės programos metu būgnais mušė Aras Biskis. Šventę džiovintomis gėlėmis puošė Ūla’s Boutique Marketing, Beachside Gardens iš Michigan City dovanojo gėlių vazonėlius dekoracijoms ir vainikams pinti, Beverly Shores miestelis paskolino stalus ir kėdes.
